    Safety & Compliance

The credentials that matter on a construction site. Full CAA authorisations, adequate insurance, and safety protocols for every job - because unqualified operators put your project at risk.

    CAA Authorisations

    Fully Licensed To Operate Commercially

Every commercial drone flight in the UK requires CAA authorisation. We hold the full set of permissions needed to operate across the range of sites we survey - from urban rooftops to rural infrastructure projects.

    GVC (General Visual Certificate)

    PDRA01 Operational Authorisation

    A2 Certificate of Competency (A2CofC)

    Insurance

    Covered For Every Eventuality

Construction clients and principal contractors require proof of adequate insurance before any contractor can operate on site. We carry:

    £5m

    Public Liability Insurance

Covers third-party injury and property damage during drone operations.

    £2m

    Professional Indemnity Insurance

Covers professional negligence and data accuracy claims.

    Site Safety

    Safety Protocols For Every Job

We don't just turn up and fly. Every deployment follows a structured safety process.

    RAMS For Every Job

A Risk Assessment Method Statement is produced before every flight, identifying hazards, risks and control measures specific to your site.

    CSCS Card Holders

Our team holds CSCS cards, meaning we understand construction site safety protocols and can operate alongside principal contractors.

    PQS/SSIP Accredited

We're a PQS/SSIP accredited contractor - pre-qualified for construction site work, reducing your procurement admin.

    Pre-Flight Checks

Every flight begins with equipment checks, site assessment, airspace verification and a pre-flight briefing.

    Exclusion Zones

We establish and maintain exclusion zones around the operating area, coordinated with your site team.

    Flight Logs & Records

Every flight is logged with CAA-compliant records, available on request for your compliance files.

    Equipment

    Commercial-Grade Platform

DJI M350 RTK platform with Rock Robotic R3 Pro LiDAR

The DJI M350 RTK is an enterprise-grade platform designed for demanding survey and inspection work. RTK positioning provides cm-level accuracy without ground control dependency. The Rock Robotic R3 Pro LiDAR sensor captures dense point clouds through vegetation and in low-light conditions where photogrammetry can't operate.

This isn't consumer kit. It's the same class of equipment used by national mapping agencies and major infrastructure survey programmes.

    Veteran-Owned, Established 2019

North West Drone Surveys is a veteran-owned business, operating under the DroneWorks umbrella since 2019. The discipline, attention to detail and safety-first mindset from military service carries directly into how we run every survey operation.

Always Use A Qualified, Insured Drone Operator

Unlicensed or under-insured drone operators can't produce admissible survey data, don't carry the insurance your site requires, and can't operate safely around construction plant and personnel. If a contractor can't show you CAA authorisations, £5m+ public liability and a RAMS before they fly - don't let them on your site.

We tick every box. Every time.

    Need Proof Of Credentials?

We'll provide full CAA permissions, insurance certificates and RAMS before any work begins.
